Unwind after the workweek with a relaxed Afternoon trail ride followed by a casual post-ride BBQ with fellow riders.
đGroup Trail Ride - Saturday Afternoon 2 PM Community Trail Ride & BBQ Join us for a relaxed afternoon on the trails at Silver Brook Stables in Uncasville, Connecticut. Our bi-weekly Community Trail Ride is designed for riders who enjoy good company, beautiful scenery, and spending time with their horses. Our rides are primarily walk-paced, with the possibility of an occasional trot where conditions and the group allow. Whether you prefer to chat with friends or simply enjoy a peaceful ride through the property & woods, you'll fit right in. What to Expect: Relaxed, social atmosphere Primarily walk pace with occasional opportunities to trot Typically 5â20 riders Groups may begin in smaller "breakout" groups based on pace and rider preference before joining together along the trail. Beautiful wooded trails with a couple of shallow stream crossings One section of the trail includes a fairly steep hill with solid, groomed footing (not rocky or muddy). We mention this because some senior horses or horses with significant arthritis may find it more challenging. Riders remain together for safety and to ensure no one becomes separated on the trail. After the ride, stay and enjoy our community BBQ! Bring a chair, relax with fellow horse lovers, and make an afternoon of it. And yes, weather permitting, we will do Winter rides as well! Dry camping is welcome, so if you'd like to spend the night in your RV or tent and enjoy more of what Silver Brook Stables has to offer, you're welcome to do so.
Approx. 1 hour through our scenic trails and property, part of the trail is fairly steep but well-groomed and wide.
